my wife melinda and i like to visit hungary. melinda was born there in a town which is now part of slovakia called leva. when we visit we stay a friends apartment on berzenczey ut. the city is so much fun and the people we meet are really nice when they know you. i am especially lucky that my melinda speaks and reads hungarian fluently. i am learning (when i am there i can read most of the signs and say a few words) i hope to purchase a small vinyard and live at least part of the year there. we participated in harvesting grapes at another friends vinyard in tihany on the balaton and had some of the fresh pressed must (juice) really delicous. the grapes are lugos which originated in spain and the finished wine is like cabernat. i am hopeing to meet or at least correspond with hungarians and be updated as to the current events, customs, hopes and dreams of native hungarians in the country and cities of the beautifull country that is hungary. i also would like to tell you the real story of americans like me and melinda we are not like the things you see and hear about on the television, and we don't act or do things like you see. we are like you. anyway if you are interested i will describe the situation here as i see it.
i wish all good luck and heatlh.
