I, Shan B Mani, a basic commerce graduate (BCom), did my masters (MCom) from University of Kerala. My other professional qualifications comprise Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application (PGDCA) from Institute of Human Resource Development.
Bachelor of Education (BEd) from University of Kerala
Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management (PGDMM) from University of Kerala.
I am also pursuing Master of Business Administration (MBA Financial Management) from Annamalai University alongside Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management (PGDHRM) from University of Kerala presently.
I am currently employed with renowned South Indian Regional Newspaper Kerala Kaumudi, Corporate Office, Trivandrum in capacity of Manager - Debtors Management over a year now. Some new introductions I made here to improvise the old collection system include:
Invoice wise posting system,
Daily reporting system via billing/collection details from units across Kerala to
the Corporate Office thereby achieving speedy centralized accounting,
Fixing targets and ensures achievement,
Performance based incentives,
The above changes enhanced transparency and accountability thereby resulting in rousing Collection curve. Also, I was instrumental to creating a team at unit and corporate level to handle the daily data and process it speedily into indicator reports for superior hierarchy. The management, in recognition of my endeavors elevated me to position of Manager in a short span of five months from my initiation as Assistant Manager.
